Looked at your picture of the engine boy does it look busy. Remember I have carbs and there is nothing in the engine bay. My MSDS is on the other side. Nice colors in the bay.
One word of warning. It dosen't look like you have the hose on from the front of the car to the Alternator. You need it on.

Hey Vince, BUSY!? Have you looked at a 931 lately? I have the same cam gear as Joe on my '82 931 and I'm jealous! It takes about 2 hours for me to change my cam degree because I have to remove the air cleaner, air flow meter, and alternator belt in order to get to it!

What's the deal with the alternator hose? Isn't it just a cooling duct? The 931 doesn't have any means of cooling the alternator and there are no problems with it. -Troy

My cam gear is on the engine now but the engine is not ready to start. I loved it when it was on. Rebuilding the 24 engine.
The 931 I have does not have the cool hose either. But , since the alt in a 924 is close to the exhaust then they put a hose from the front to the alt.
Putting on the hose adds 42.5 HP to the engine.
