hey, Joe put the cam gear on the car. I had on put on my car a very long time ago. About 5 years ago I had it removed and now I am putting it on again. I like the thought of shifting power. As a track car I liked the top end power and didn't care about low end. With a small cam and headers it made a great sound and ran very well. I think the $40 spent was well worth it. Try it and if you are not happy let me know.
