Hi all,
jus wondering is this car worth it?
what u reckon?
2004 PORSCHE 924
Turbo. RE-ADVERTISED DUE TO TIME WASTER! This car is brand new having been subject to a full nut and bolt restoration at a cost estimated at £27,000. This Porsche 924 Turbo was purchased new from JCT600 on 09/01/1981. Finished in Guards red with black pasha trim. She is fitted with electric windows, electric mirrors, sunroof and a 5 speed Getrag dog leg gearbox. Only 17,000 of these cars were built and most have long since passed away. She comes complete with a full diary of everything that has been done to her and lots of sevice history and original paperwork. She was also featured in the July issue of 911 and Porsche world magazine. She has covered just 800 miles in the last 10 years and has just had a full MOT and is taxed til the end of the year. This car is a collectors piece that wants to be cherished and taken out on sunny days around the classic car shows. The number plate is not sold with the vehicle. It is pointless describing the condition of this car as she is brand new! 4 pages of pics at www.sdsc.co.uk. £5,995. _________________ 1980 Red 924 CARRERA GT(rep) with custom leather interior + GT goodies!

Very hard to say - I bet you'll find it hard to find anything as good, so if they are prepared to sit tight, i guess it will sell at near the asking price. Just a shame it's in red.
If they want to sell in the next few weeks, I'd give them GBP 4-4.5K _________________ current - '90 944S2, '00 986S,

Something is only worth what one individual is ready, willing and able to pay for it.
That being said, if this car sells at or near the asking price, I think it pretty much defines the top of the market.
Best of luck to the seller. |

I'd be willing to pay that if they have the receipts to back up claims of a 25K restoration.
Keep in mind of course, for that kind of money you can get an immaculate 951. _________________ '81 931 in various states of assembly |

Nice Looking car, wish I could afford to have it imported to here. I was just saying today, I wanted a right hand car. _________________ Life is to short to be looking for something? |

If I had the money it would be on it's way to the US. Where I live a right hand drive would come in handy everyone thinks the left lane is the slow lane so it would be easier to pass with a right hand drive. _________________ 80 924

At current exchange rates, that's about $10,500.
CBass, if you have that much cash, I have a friend with an 81 931, with only 12K miles on it. He is the original owner.
You guys do realize that the car in the photos has the wrong interior. The psycho interior was a limited production item, only supplied on the first few 931 cars made in the 1980 model year. |

well considering english prices, the car is DEFINATLY worth it,
the car is a very nice example, however I am wondering if all the suspension pieces were replaced, those hats look to be sitting abit high, and I would also be checking to make sure that none of the oil lines for the turbo are leaking.
very nice piece though _________________ 3 928s, |

Saw the advert the other day when I was mooching around, very nice innit?! If the amount of work they're claiming really has been put into it, then hell yeah it's a steal! _________________ Mars Red '78 Euro 924 n/a

fwiw, a similar condition 951 would cost at least GBP 8-9000 in the UK _________________ current - '90 944S2, '00 986S,

If I were spending $27K on a restoration, I would insist on a new dashboard, not a $50 dash layover cover.
I would also insist on getting the correct original interior materials.
And, all the Factory Recall/Upgrade Campaigns. For Example, how about the missing Turbo Breather Upgrade that was introduced in 1981? |

And whats with the porsche psychedellic, acid trip interior?
I think it actually looks pretty cool, but weird. maybe it was a 70s thing. _________________ 78 924 sold.
