I want to get into autocrossing and before I start stripping down my car and making mods to it I want to find out what the rules are. Anyone know where I can find the classes and what rules there are for each class??

Thanks

PCA and SCCA have different rules for Autocross or SoloII as SCCA calls it. Here are some links for ya:

http://www.pca.org/pca/clubrace/docs/forms.htm

http://www.moutons.org/sccasolo/

http://solo.wdcr-scca.org/autox.htm

http://www.na-motorsports.com/Organizations/SCCA/Solo/Rules.html

If you are not competing for points but want to just have fun, you can mod your car all you want and run in exhibition classes. A guy in our club has a 3 Liter Turbo 944S that is not qualified to run in any regular class. Basically it's a 968 Turbo with a 944 body. He can't compete nationally, but it is sure fun to watch it go!
