Found it today its not on the gearbox it runs off the ignition stop switch on the gear selector. Found the wires taped up under the centre console so I will sort that this week.

I would do plan b myself it would be the easiest solution and seen as half the jettas missing anyway should save some fabrication. Wont be easy but should be cool.
