on my 1979 there was this sort of lue/caulking that had dried up with time and made it very hard to remove.
once I had removed all the bolts I had to use an exacto blade to "cut" the caulki ...

getting the engine out means removing the Rad

on 1979 the wiring is going along the door sill right under the plastic trim.
There are no wires behind the A pillar where the door hinges are mounted.

Did you mention to your relationship that you owned a Porsche 924 and not a Honda Civic?

While those a common first DIY mods for Honda boys your 924s doesn't have the same aftermarket support.

the door cards are just a 1/4 inch thick and are made to be right next to the metal door frame with the door handle bracket.
This is not like todays plastic formed door cards that are mostly hollow ...

Another option would be to swap to a harness bar using the oem holes with a harness.
I had that setup in my car for a short while and the belt would come from behind at a straight angle if I remember ...

the rest of the video shows how to replace the dash and customize the shifter to make it tighther.

They gave me a hollow nut with a ball bearing and this does the trick so far.
