What I called a "wheel switch" I think is a rheostat of some kind. I did not know what to call it. How can I find what options this car has?

It is located in the lower portion of the tach and is an up arrow. I felt this may be the check engine light. Maybe not?

OK, I removed the TPS and opened it up and it's broken. The arm that opens and closes the contacts is broken. So, I will by a replacement.

Reading about testing the TPS says at terminal 2 on the DME connector I should get 0 ohms to ground when closed and infinite ohms with the the TPS open. I do get 0 when close ...

When I got the car the fuel pump was not working and I replaced it. I tried to get by with the least expense one I could find. Sounds like I should have got the better one. You get what you pay for.

Now I have checked and do have continuity from pin 20 in the DME connector to terminal 85b at the relay. So it seems as if the DME is not providing the ground.
