I don't believe your overheating issues are due to the mismatch of blocks per se! it may well be in the installation of them, but not due to the different years as such. ...

Yes it can be done.....was done nearly 20 years ago.
From memory, using the 924 stub as a guide, a hole was drilled from the stub side first, to the depth of the 924T, and then a larger hole was dril ...

Similar to you I have had issue after issue with the CIS. Stupid things I have done, or were done. Argh!
Interestingly, like yours, my DITC plug has that extra brown wire ...
