They are available in Europe. One of the guys on the 924 owners group in Facebook posted a link to a place that had them.

It has been mentioned on this forum by more than one person that 944 brakes work fine without rerouting the brake lines. I haven't done it myself yet but it has been done by others

The stock compression at it's highest in a 924 is 9.3:1. I'd say that's pretty boostable. The 1.8t VW/AUDI has 9.2:1 and people run 16 PSI boost in those engines.
