Thats pop-off valve line coming from the intake.
There is so much oil in the intake because the crank venting system is not sufficient for the S1.

I replaced the o-rings last year when i refurbished the turbo...so the o-rings should be ok..but that whole area became greasy, i suspect that the venting line that goes on top of the turbo is the fau ...

You can modify it to the S2 crank breathing system or you can accept that its a dirty and oily machine
I did the later while the car was with me.
It leaked a couple of drops every few days...that ...

You really want to make sure that there is oil pressure.
What does the oil pressure gauge read?

Did you do a belt replacement? if you didnt yet, dont turn the motor anymore until you do.
Best would be to take the car to a CIS injection expert in your area.
The injection system is the same one ...

I guess you'll be modifying the 3L as well so it may make not so much difference but perhaps the 968 motor is a better start as it has around 240HP off the bat?

No damage should be possible with the NA engine since the valves can never touch the pistons even with the euro high compression pistons. So id just install the camshaft.

blow off worked just fine for me, the noise it makes when WOT and shifting around 4500RPM with that turbo is intoxicating.
I had an incident where the blow-off didnt open and the result is not a nice ...

I think im going to literally strap a supercharger to my 85 2L NA once its up and running well enough. Run 0.3 bar without an intercooler.
A low boost supercharger or small turbocharger strapped on ...

the same engine still runs strong in my friends car 11 years after boosting it.
