They exist but are scarce. For the snailshell (016/Y or Z, or G31.01 or .02) made by Getrag, the same LSD as used in the 911 series type 915 transmission was used. They are all but impossible to fin ... |

0 280 130 214 has been superseded to F 026 T03 100 by Bosch, and that part is available from them, MSRP $246.20. My wholesaler has 16 in stock at the moment. |

If the sound is coming from inside the transmission, you have either a broken ring and pinion or broken differential, best guess. |

I agree that the 90 degree twist method is pretty vague, unless you've done a whole lot of them and have developed a good feel. The factory workshop manual also cites the 90 degree twist method.
