just speaking out of my ass, but wouldn't then be easier to make custom slanted top pistons to get the same effect?

You are right, but there are gains that doesnŽt require that much work. Keeping the CR without swaping to flat-tops and miling the deck could be a problem though.

Very nice, is the 2670 the same as a 944 turbo S one?

The old design is standard flatback (including 951!) with 6,30mm tip height. The 951S (and RS2) are superbacks and require a diffenent backplat ...

I used $25 6mm Ferrea valves from the Competition Plus series, long blanks. The spring was a Ferrea beehive made for Ford SOHC 24V. So was the reatiner.

Honda F22, K20 and H22 are all 94mm. Ford Duratec and Mazda L are 96mm IIRC. Think the smaller Zetec heritaged the CVH bore spacing of 92mm?
