I did a little poking around online and found many references to Heinz Willibald tuning, was well known in the VW and Porsche 914 circles back in the 80's Seems he just died in November 2010.

I think the A4 comes stock with a LSD in the center. The stock rear diff is open. So getting a junkyard rear diff from an A4 would not be limited slip.
