Spark/timing control would be needed for FI applications ... |

Thanks all. I did end up getting a 2.5 at a great price, so going in that direction.
I do agree that (when I didn't have an engine) perhaps a 1.8 would have been a better solution ... or a K24. |

Yes, I am in a similar boat, and OS pistons are (virtually) unobtainium.
Any piston intended for a forced induction application is likely to result in a lower compression ratio - not what you want ... |

The NA 924 is a great place to start. They are so simple.
The NA engine does respond to turbocharging very well, but you'll need to do an EFI conversion first.
