The left one is blank not cut out. The right one should be a yellow transparent cap with oxs on it. Bulb would be behind the cap.

Here is a link to the procedure I pulled out of my manual. It is for an '81 but should be similar if not the same. Doesn't look like you have to drop it, just disassemble everything on it.
