Sorry if I disturbed anyone with this question, all your answers are correct

Which Porsche would you have?

Hypothetically. That means, if a German SS guard in uniform came to your place of residence and confiscated your 924 (and all 924s), but offered you a consolation pri ...

For the 924:
Plunked about 4K on it, including original price, from sleazy used car dealer. Rebuilt head + new pistons / rings + rod bearings + main bearings + gaskets + clutch = about $1000. New w ...

So, just for review:
No 924 Turbo, no 924S, no 944, no 968 until you finish your 924 N/A project. They are out there, go get 'em.

What's it like to own one?
I'd call it more durable than reliable, and durable it is. The engine is a legend of nerdy design focused on fuel economy, while maintaining a power to displacement ratio ...

Maybe I'm paranoid, but I'd say check if it's your timing belt is loose and slapping against the cover. It will happen to warn you that it's too loose. Definitely a sharp intermittent clacking that ...

Boo - Yah! New cookie cutter spare (for 944) came this weekend, new speedo cable (for 944) was destroyed with the help from a friend of mine, but the 924 made all the pain go away, haha. Seriously, ...

Last night I had a friend stop by, and we aired up the tires & fired up the 924! After tooling around for a couple of months in the 944 I thought the 924 would now be boring, boy was I wrong abou ...

What a shame! If you don't feel like cutting your own gaskets (you can get raw material from any parts store) you can of course order an engine gasket set from a number of places. I used Performance ...
