In all honesty, I don't think there's an easy way to repair these. The problem is that the fabric is worn and when you try to sew something onto the fabric, it'll just tear again.

Yeh I find it hard to envision what you did exactly. Only thing I can tell is that I removed the bearing (not the sleeve, as I don't see the need to do that) from my '78 engine with ease.

By the way, i adjusted the kjet on the 924 i'm driving to run richer and ran great cold and half way warmed but started running crap when hot...so this cant be sorted out trough adjustment...its jus ...
