I need some help with regards to building a CGT look-alike - but it's for 24 Hours of Lemons race, so legit $3000 body kit sets are out of the question.
The base car is an '82 924 Turbo ... |

So, is it 1", or do 25mm clutches fit as well? What about the outside diameter of the splined end, can a 25mm bearing fit over them? |

I want to avoid drilling/riveting unless I know the old and new clutch centers will match up exactly (in which case, I'd be all set). Do companies like Sachs use a common center section pattern for th ... |

Most excellent - this is exactly what I've been looking for. So, 77mm bore, 73.4mm horizontal, 89mm vertical, M12 bolt holes.
I'll post an update as soon as I have something substantial. We have 2 ... |

From poking around on the internets, I get either 94mm or 77mm center bore (for dowel pins - which one?), 73mm horizontal distance between holes, and 89mm vertical distance. I also need to have the wh ... |

Ok, good call - I had spline count all messed up. My actual best bet is a standard 2.3l Ford clutch, 197mm. Nissan 190mm 23-spline clutch ALMOST fits, but it's 1.031 instead of 1", so I'm assumin ... |

I have a 110hp engine that has 190mm clutch and a small-ish flywheel, that's going into an 82 931 chassis with stock torque tube.
So far, the best I could come up with is 1.7l VW Quantum clutch, 20 ... |

Holy krapp
It probably walks all over the MG's of that vintage - more power in a smaller, rear-engined car. From the looks of it, rusts slower, too |

I'd rather do a Sprite or a Midget with a 30hp PMG motor and 6 batteries. It'd have a 30 mile range or so, but it would weigh about 1500 lbs with me in it Big cars are too heavy to be electric, you ... |
