To locate the head and gasket I cut the head off 4 old head bolts and slotted them to fit a screwdriver.
after fitting the new bolts, just unscrewed them to fit the last 4.

Dont forget insides of doors and rear panels will need cleaning, who knows what is in there.

If the engine is full of water it wont turn until the plugs are removed

Sounds like the cold start valve is working but no fuel after.
May need adjusting the air fuel mix to keep running.
Could also be faulty WUR

I used nothing on the metal diaphragm, they a machined surfaces and do not require sealant

If the breather is blocked it will leak when running from many places.
Crank seal - front or rear
Oil filler cap
Cam cover gasket
dipstick
and anywhere thats convenient

Unless you have points in the dissy (or similar) the green wire goes to the LH corner as mentioned.
Looks like fused power going to the coil? Definitely a bodge.

Can anyone tell me or post a pic on where the freeze plugs are on the 924 NA?
I have one leaking and the book of lies says 5 are needed.
I may as well do all of them
