The coil's spark is controlled by the TIU from the distributor pickup, unless you have points there is no direct cable from dist to coil

I think Pelican.com have a schematic for early models but best to get a Haynes manual

First off, what's the aux fan vs cooling fan? Secondly, which temp switch is stock, or recommended?

its not a spray its a thick gel which you put on the mating surfaces when assembling much like a thick loctite.
You would have to disconnect the hoses, put it on the surfaces and reassemble.

Personally wouldnt use them.
There is a sealant you can use on the hose ends when fitting but that is all i have ever used.

I had to bleed several times to get a good pedal.
I try to use a different color fluid when I do a bleed to visually see the new stuff come out.
