Are you thinking of replacing the torque converter with a clutch or having a clutch in additon to the torque converter...? Or have I got that completely wrong? |

One shouldn't get picky about the specific technology used (e.g. water cooling/air cooling, suspension set ups, carbs/injection, front engine/rear engine, etc, etc)

I've never been convinced by the self-adjusting mechansims on drum brakes.
I'd stick with the manual adjusters. At least that way you can do them up just right and know they're done. |
