Thanks Harm! I know the lever is now in the back, but I did this in order to get the clip and cable in the right spot. I guess it can also go upside down?

I wil disassemble it this weekend and test ...

I checked the cable and it works like it should. I then assumed my valve must be faulty so I replaced it with a new one from Porsche.

That foto says camshaft pulley, but that is incorrect. That is the pulley attached to the crankshaft.

When you read no differente between an open and closed valve, I think it is fair to say your WUR is no longer working. In my experience this means that the shaft is rusted and can no longer move freel ...

I always try to line up the timing marks on the pulley, cam gear and flywheel. With the cars being as old as they are and without history you never know what has been done to the engine.
