I wasn't sure on the stack up on the parts. I'm wondering if I can use the loctite sealant that the 996 use on the cam covers as this has more body than the 573.

I will have the last 2 syncro ring ...

Does anybody have a good one? These are NLA at the dealer, I checked stateside and in Europe. I suppose that eventually all 924/944 and 928 parts will go NLA.

Thanks,

JK

I plotted out the gearing charts on this G31 with 016 3rd and 4th gears and I get the following at 7,000 RPM with 928S4 wheels and tires:

1st 34 MPH
2nd: 61 MPH
3rd: 98 MPH
4th: 135 MPH
5th: 18 ...

Yes, the goal is to use the entire G31 as the basis. I would like a taller 1st gear, but that is not an option as the gear is on the main-shaft in that box. I want the larger input shaft on the G31 ...

Greetings.

Time permitting I have been pecking at my 924-Audi AAN turbo conversion project. Somewhere between building many turbo 928s and my Audi AAN powered S4 sedan the 924 project was put way ...

Been horrifically busy with 928 Twin Turbo builds this year. I do have the AAN block torn down and tanked. I am deciding if I just want to overbore it to 82mm or Nikasil plate the block back to 81mm ...

I have secured down my 016Y (found one local) and the G31.02 has been here for a while. I've talked with many people on about this conversion and while the 5R trans and tube would do right in, I real ...

Consider installing a Provent air-oil separator on the car to help get rid of some of that oil. You can then recycle the collected oil by allowing it to gravity drain down back into the crankcase. T ...

Can anybody on here tell me if the 2-5th gears on the 016Y will directly integrate into a G31.02 box? I'm looking to pick up another transmission to space out 2-5th gears for a wider more powerful en ...

You will need a brace on that header to avoid cracking. Hanging an 11 lb turbo from it may cause issues with longevity. You might consider making the header from weld-els (sch 10 or sch 40) to make ...
