The tire used by NASA Spec 944 is the Toyo Proxy 225/50/15 and works great on a 7" rim, however there will be more gap between the tire and the fender, but I am guessing yours is lower than stand ... |

I recommend that you spend a $100 bucks and have a shop that has the tool and the knowledge do it for you.
IMO the cheap tools are worthless, I'd rather do it by hand than use one of those.
