Those would be Turbo heads, with the plugs on the intake side.

Grinding the crank should actually be pretty cheap... maybe about the cost of bearings. But remember, once you grind it, you can never go back!!!

I've been quite happy with the longevity of the Interstate brand, for the car being stored over the winter. Sure, not quite as bullet-proof as an Optima, but much more tolerable cost...

I called EBS about 10 days ago and they had a new run being checked for quality, then sending the order to make them. They said about month after the order they would have them.

I have sleeved mine with rubber hose; seeing how silicone hose gets abused by hose clamps I don't think it would hold up as well.

But perhaps turning up some softer plastic on a lathe, maybe not a ...
